Wheatear

Wheatear

My latest work is of a place I haven’t seen for many years. My son had a walk up over the top of Piethorne Reservoir, Newhey with his girlfriend and his camera and took a number of interesting photographs. One of these reminded me of the last time I saw the subject, it’s an old run down wall of what could have been a farm house, or could even have been just a massive wall. Sat on that very wall the last time I saw it was a Wheatear, which is a small summer visiting bird from Africa. That’s why I’ve titled this work ‘Wheatear’.
